We’re going to have a small group workday next week, for any of you who can make it during the week. It is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, beginning at 8:30 am. The alternate day in the event of bad weather, etc. will be Thursday, August 6. We will meet at the Lehigh Gap East A.T. parking lot, off PA Route 248. HERE is a link to a map showing the location.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some special rules will be in effect.
We will be doing some brush trimming, minor sawing and blazing in a few locations. Please bring a mask or bandanna, water or other drink, snacks, and (if you have them) hedge trimmers, hand saws, etc. Bring clothes suitable for working outside in hot weather, sunblock and insect repellent. We have some tools and equipment, so let me know in your email if you need anything. As always, THANK YOU for your support.

The Register is ATC's newsletter for Trail volunteers. If you are a volunteer, SIGN UP HERE to receive The Register. If you’re an A.T. volunteer, ATC wants to hear about your experience! ATC has opened a survey for all-levels of volunteers in order to help refine and improve ways we support you. The survey could take up to 30 minutes to complete. As a thank you, each volunteer is entered in a raffle to win one of several daypacks, perfect for a day on the Trail. We hope you’ll take the survey and share it with fellow volunteers. We are extremely grateful to Peter Jensen, Bob Sickley, the Mid-Atlantic Trail Crew and the rest of our friends and colleagues at ATC for these important improvements to our precious Trail.
We really appreciate all of the support we've received in the almost four years since KTA took over management of our section of the A.T. Thank You!!
As with any volunteer organization, we can always use more help. Here are some of the ways you can help.
Are you interested in helping with any of these opportunities? Contact us using THIS LINK. Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) has posted guidance on how hikers, trail maintainers, etc. should deal with the COVID-19 pademic. The guidance can be found HERE. We strongly urge our volunteers and those using the A.T. to follow this guidance.
